CHEMets® Self-filling Ampoules for Visual Colorimetric Analysis
CHEMets® ampoules are designed for maximum simplicity and accuracy, employing stable reagents vacuum-sealed in self-filling ampoules. Each glass ampoule is 7 mm in diameter, 100 mm in length, with a tapered, pre-scored tip. Test procedures are fast, easy and accurate. Vacu-vials® Self-filling Ampoules for Instrumental Colorimetric Water Analysis
CHEMetrics' unique snap and read Vacu-vials® self-filling ampoules are ideally suited for customers preferring an instrumental result when analyzing samples, whether in the field or in the lab. Vacu-vials ® ampoules can be used with CHEMetrics Direct-Readout Photometers or any spectrophotometer capable of accepting a 13 mm diameter round cell. When using other manufacturer’s equipment, simply set your spectrophotometer to the absorbance mode, select the wavelength designated in the Vacu-vials® kit instructions, and follow the test procedure. To convert from absorbance to concentration in ppm, use the calibration provided in our kit instructions, or use the Concentration Calculator found under the “Support” tab on our website. Most Vacu-vials® colorimetric kits include everything needed to perform 30 tests.
VACUettes® High Range Visual Colorimetric Analysis
VACUettes® ampoules are designed for visual analysis of highly concentrated samples. A capillary tip on the self-filling ampoule makes it easy to collect and analyze a small, precisely measured volume of concentrated sample eliminating the need for a time-consuming and error-prone preliminary dilution. Dissolved Oxygen Testing on the Chesapeake Bay
The Sultana Education Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Maryland. They use their Schooner Sultana program to teach kids about environmental science and history, and part of the lesson includes water quality testing.
